We know what to look for and how to solve problems quickly. More importantly, we explain what happened in plain English and take steps to prevent the same error recurring.
Error fixes are available to maintenance clients only.

White Screen of Death
Your site displays a blank white screen instead of your content. This usually means a PHP error or plugin conflict is preventing WordPress from loading properly. It’s alarming but usually straightforward to fix.
404 Errors
Pages that should exist return “Page Not Found” messages. This often happens after permalink changes, site migrations or when content has been moved without proper redirects. Visitors can’t find your content and search engines may deindex affected pages.
Plugin Conflicts
Two or more plugins interfere with each other, causing features to break or preventing your site from loading. This commonly occurs after plugin updates when compatibility issues arise. One plugin might work perfectly alone but clash with another.
Database Errors
WordPress can’t connect to your database or database tables are corrupted. You’ll see messages like “Error establishing a database connection”. Your content exists but WordPress can’t access it.
Memory Issues
Your site exceeds its allocated PHP memory limit. You’ll see “Fatal error: Allowed memory size exhausted” messages. This prevents plugins from loading, media from uploading or pages from displaying properly.
Fatal Errors
PHP errors that stop WordPress from functioning. Since WordPress 5.2, you’ll see “This site is experiencing technical difficulties”. WordPress usually emails details about what caused the error.
How We Fix WordPress Errors
Our Diagnostic Process
We start by analysing your site’s error logs. These logs show exactly what went wrong and when. We review recent changes to your site including plugin updates, theme changes or hosting modifications.
We create a testing environment to identify the problem without risking further damage to your live site. This lets us safely deactivate plugins, switch themes or test fixes before applying them to your working website.
We identify the root cause rather than just treating symptoms. If a plugin conflict caused the error, we determine which plugins are incompatible and why. If memory limits were exceeded, we find out what triggered the excessive memory usage.
The Fix
Once we’ve identified the cause, we implement the solution. This might mean updating or replacing a plugin, fixing corrupted files, adjusting settings or replacing problematic code. We test thoroughly to ensure the fix works and hasn’t introduced new problems.
After fixing the error, we explain what happened in plain English. You’ll understand why the error occurred, what we did to fix it and what you can do to prevent similar issues.
No technical jargon unless you specifically want it.
We also take steps to prevent recurrence. If a particular plugin combination causes conflicts, we’ll recommend alternatives. If memory limits are too low, we’ll advise on hosting improvements. Prevention is always better than repeated fixes.
Most error fixes take 24 to 48 hours. Simple issues like plugin conflicts might be resolved in hours.
More complex problems involving database repairs or custom code investigation take longer. We keep you informed throughout the process.
What’s Not Included
Our error fixing service covers standard WordPress errors.
We don’t fix errors caused by custom code you’ve added or had developed specifically for your site. Custom development errors require different expertise and fall outside standard maintenance.
We don’t fix errors from third-party integrations with external services or APIs. If your site connects to payment gateways, CRM systems or other external platforms, those integration errors need specialist knowledge of those particular systems.
Errors requiring extensive development work aren’t included.
If fixing an error means rebuilding significant functionality or rewriting large portions of code, that’s development work rather than maintenance.
Being clear about these exclusions helps avoid confusion. You know what’s covered and what isn’t.
For custom development issues, we can recommend specialists or provide quotes for additional work.
Why Error Fixes Are Included
Prevention is always better than fixing problems after they occur.
Good and regular maintenance prevents most errors from happening. Regular updates keep everything compatible. Daily monitoring catches issues before they become serious. Routine backups mean quick recovery if something does go wrong.
However, no maintenance service can prevent every possible error.
Sometimes plugins update and cause unexpected conflicts. Hosting providers change settings without warning. WordPress itself occasionally has bugs in new releases.
When errors do occur despite good maintenance, you need them fixed quickly.
You’re already paying £99 per month for maintenance and WordPress error fixes are part of that service.
This approach aligns our interests with yours. We want to prevent errors because they take time to fix. You want to prevent errors because they affect your business. When errors do happen, we fix them as part of our ongoing service.
